The Latest and Greatest New MARGE Feature |

So you've been asking for a long time and we were listening, but we needed to be sure it would work properly. And at long last...Automatic Batching is now available! We took our time after the revision of Marge to be sure things were working more smoothly and now we are finally happy to introduce an option that validates, batches and posts in one easy button click.

You will see this notice upon first logging in. |

Set up the Disbursement (or Receipts) batch as you normally would. Make sure you have the proper G/L month, check date and starting check number.

|
|
Run your reports, print your checks and mark your invoices paid. |
|
|
|
You can then click over one tab to the right to the Generate Tab. This will bring up the Create Invoices Batch dialog box. If you select yes, it will generate a back up and ask you to confirm.
|

|
|
Then the dialog box asking if you want to validate and post it now appears. If you want to hold off to wait for Board approval or because you may need to correct something, you can say no. However, generally, you will select yes and it will go through the validation and posting steps automatically. |

You can see confirmation that it was posted in in the List of Invoices and you can select the List of Batches from there with the button on the right side.

|
|
You can also see confirmatin of the posting in the List of Batches. If the batch were to fail validation, the Status would be shown in Red. If you decline to validate and post, it just shows in Green and says Allow Posting which you can go back in and do at a later time if you so desire.
